Just curious what people come up with…looking into buying a first car soon, therefore it needs to have relatively cheap insurance. Also, needs to be second hand and under £1000.
I’m very interested in working on it and doing some light modifying. If anyone has any suggestions or knows what they would get, please let me know.

I have bought my first home in South West Engalnd 1 month ago. I took “First Time Buyer” mortgage from HSBC. But unfortunately, my company suddenly asked me to work in East England for 1 or 2 years on an assignment. So till I complete the assignment, I would like to rent my property. I think I have to inform the bank to get permission. Do they charge Buy To Let rates in general ? As this is my first home, can the bank still consider me as First Time buyer only ? Will they cancel my mortgage ? It seems BTL interest rates are very high. I think I also have to change my home insurance policy. Is that correct ?

I have found a brand new 2bedroom flat in upminster, Essex. It is up for sale at £150,000 (75% ownership) on top of that they are asking for £100 rent per month towards the last 25%.
I think this still seems really cheap as the location and the quality of the flat are 1st class.
They were on the market orignally to be sold outright for £250,000 but they havent been sold???!?!?!
Also is it in my league? I earn £21,000 a year and have £5,000 savings.
I am considering it as a buy to let as I am only 20 and life at home is still far to comfortable!
Any advise would be great.

I went into a shop the other day to buy my son a video game. On the shelves I found games for the PC, for the PS3, PS2 and the XBox 360. Guess how many there were for the original XBox.
None. Not one single game.
If Sony can let you buy games for their old system (and from what I’ve seen they are even releasing some new ones), why can’t Microsoft?
Obviously I know the answer is profit – they want you to buy their new system – but honestly, what happened to looking after your customers?
